Namibian boxer Paulus Ambunda retained the WO African bantamweight title courtesy a split point decision victory over South African Bongani Mahlangu on Saturday in Windhoek.
Two of the judges scored 115-113 in favour of Ambunda whilst the third scored it 115-113 for the South African.
After a quiet opening round, the fight exploded into action in the second as both boxers landed some big shots to bring the capacity crowd up onto its feet cheering for more.
Ambunda chased his opponent throughout the fight and his work rate and power did the trick to spur him to victory.
The feat ensured the Namibian remained unbeaten in 17 fights since joining the professional ranks.
