Burkina Faso have failed to grab a title this year as they were beaten Sunday night 0-1 by Nigeria in the final of the 29th edition in South Africa.
Despite the defeat, it is worth noting that the Stallions had a noble performance against all expectations in South Africa. Star player, Jonathan Pitroipa was awarded the prize for the Orange man of the tournament.
The other awards saw Nigeria’s Victor Moses winning the Samsung fair player of the tournament while his teammate, Emmanuel Emenike was made Pepsi tournament top scorer.
The Nissan goal of the tournament went to Youssef El Msakni of Tunisia.
